Enjoy the natural beauty at the Amazon Museum in Manaus

The Amazon Museum (Musa) is one of the most fascinating places to get in touch with nature in Manaus. Created in 2009, the museum occupies 100 hectares of the Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve of the National Institute of Amazonian Research and is surrounded by a fragment of the forest. In addition, it is one of the largest reference sites for research in the Amazon and one of the main tourist attractions in the capital.

In the space, visitors can see exhibitions, orchid and bromeliad nurseries, lakes, aquariums, a sensory garden and experimental laboratories for snakes, insects and butterflies. Another highlight is the Observation Tower, which is approximately 42 meters high and is one of the most popular attractions, where it is possible to have a privileged view of the forest reserve.

For those who enjoy hiking, the site also has seven trails that bring visitors closer to nature, with educational information spread along the way. Those who prefer, can do the trails with the help of a guide.
